NEW SILK ROAD RAIL SERVICE - CHINA TO UK
KC Group Shipping are delighted to inform our customers of an innovative new rail logistics solution; the revival of the ‘New Silk Road Rail Service’ from China to London.
Terminating in London’s Hackney Rail Freight Terminal, this locomotive service will pass through Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Poland, Belgium and France. This marks a momentous new era in UK - China trade relations.
Commenting for KC Group Shipping, Managing Director David Milne has said “We welcome this new service for our ever-growing client base and are encouraged that it will provide a healthy alternative to current sea and air freight options. It is important all of these freight options work together and I am confident the addition of this new rail service will have a positive impact for our customers. Our partnership with Worldwide Logistics Group, offering a comprehensive array of logistic services, ensures KC are ideally placed to take advantage of the New Silk Road Rail Service.”
KC Group Shipping has introduced a fixed-day closure, which delivers weekly FCL and LCL rail service from Wuhan and Hefei rail terminals, to Shanghai West. The New Silk Road Rail Service, in partnership with Worldwide Logistics, delivers a cost effective solution for consignments into the UK from throughout China.
David Milne added, “For our customers, the new rail service sits perfectly in the middle of current transport solutions; it is cheaper than air and quicker than sea so greater choice is now available. We have a number of customers looking into the whole array of freight services between China and the UK and many are encouraged that the New Silk Road Rail Service will provide them with opportunities and a competitive advantage.”
